Alberto leads Steer offer in the ports & maritime sector and provides strategic advice to clients in their investment decisions across the globe. His work focuses on commercial and technical due diligence advisory, investment financial and economic appraisal, business planning and market analysis.

His expertise spans the container, bulk, ferry, and cruise sectors. He also has broader expertise in the rail freight and intermodal transport sectors, including technical, market, and policy aspects. 

Alberto has delivered complex projects for private and public clients, including greenfield and brownfield port investments, M&As, and traffic & revenue forecasts for terminal and shipping operators. He is also an expert in transport policy and regulation, having worked on projects for the European Commission and Parliament and, more broadly, for public authorities. 

Alberto has managed key successful projects, including the re-financing of MSC Terminal Investment Limited (TiL) 's global portfolio of container terminals, the development of a PPP scheme for Royal Caribbean Group's new cruise terminal in Italy, and the business plan of the Greek port of Alexandroupolis.
